Fred Tatasciore who voices Rocksteady in this video game, had previously voiced Rocksteady in the 2012 cartoon series with a Russian accent. In this game, he uses Rocksteady's classic American voice.

Michelangelo tells Armaggon that there is already a king in the sewers. This is a homage to the TMNT supervillain the Rat King, who is the only villain who doesn't appear in this game.

Nolan North, who voices Splinter, Shredder and Leonardo in this TMNT feature, had previously voiced Raphael in the movie TMNT (2007) and the Kraang in the 2012 Nickelodeon cartoon series.
