Trivia Facts
Leatherhead, Rocksteady, and Bebop were the most heavily rumored characters for the game.
This game's release year coincides with the Ninja Turtles 25th anniversary.
The game's launch trailer and TV commercial uses a cover of the song "Don't Ha Ha" by Casey Jones & The Governors - seemingly only due to the reference of one of the game's characters sharing a name with the band's front man's stage name.
The title logo for this game comes from the 1987 cartoon series. The last time a Ninja Turtles game used it was back in Tournament Fighters.
The character designs of the Turtles, Splinter, April O'Neil, Casey Jones, Nightwatcher, Karai, and the Foot Soldier are taken from the CGI movie TMNT (2007), although the Turtles have white eye slits behind their mask. The Shredder design and all of the voice cast are from the 2003 animated series.
The Utrominator makes it's debut as a playable character in this game.
For the first time in Ninja Turtles video game history, the Fugitoid is a playable character.
The voice actors come from the 2003 cartoon series cast.
The game features comic style cut scenes with art that looks just like the comics.
Since first appearing on Xbox consoles, this is the first game not to be included on an Xbox console.
Ubisoft's Rabbids make a guest appearance as playable characters: the Raving Rabbid, which is dressed in a speedo, Ninja Rabbid, which is dressed like a Ninja Turtle (with a toilet lid for a carapace), and Splinter Rabbid, which dons the outfit of Splinter Cell protagonist Sam Fisher.
The narrator's voice is Darren Dunstan, who also voices Splinter.
Raphael appears to have pupils whilst he is in his Nightwatcher guise, as barely discernible through the helmet. This is despite none of the other four Ninja Turtles sporting pupils in the game.
